Kythera Folklore Collection
The Kythera Folklore Collection started thanks to the initiative of, now retired, Primary school headmaster Demetrius (Jim) N. Lourantos (Daskalos) in 2010. The early phase of the Collection consisted of material from his own family, as well as items collected by the schoolchildren of Chora Elementary School.
The Collection is housed in the old Municipality offices (next to the Police Station). It has been enlarged thanks to many donations and has also typed archival material and photographs.
