The most important monument of Kythera – for many – is Paliochora, the Byzantine capital of the island. The legends and traditions associated with it alone, irrespective of its architectural and archaeological wealth, is enough reason to concur with that view.
On Thursday, on June 14, 2018 at 19:00 p.m. we will meet at the level area just above the archaeological site to start unwinding the thread of the history of Paliochora, as well as the “how” and the “why” of the settlement.
